Mega Resources started as a family business in August 2011. We are proud to be one of the largest providers of homecare services within the Midlands and Greater London. We aim to emphasize the world of home care by supporting the vulnerable and elderly adults to live where they are most comfortable and happy with industry leading standard care.
Our success in these areas comes from high quality personally tailored homecare and support services that we provide to each of our customers. We attribute this to each Mega Resources Branch to standardize our industry leading work ethic.
We offer a wide range of one-to-one services tailor made to the needs of the individual – and home visits can be from 30 minutes a day up to 24 -7 care that includes weekends and holidays.
Our wide ranges of services are flexible to the needs of each client. These can include personal care such as assistance with bathing, dressing, eating and medication; home help covering all aspects of day-to-day housework, shopping, meal preparation and domestic household duties; and companionship services that can involve everything from escorting clients on visits or appointments to simple conversation and good company. We also offer cleaning services, which can be included within your package and have a partnership with ProAct Medical to resell medical devices at exclusive rates.
We specialise in dementia, Alzheimer and palliative conditions.
MS Margeret Lawal, who is the proprietor of Mega Resources Limited (t/a Mega Resources Nursing and Care) is a Qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner with 30 years of experience in diverse areas of the healthcare sector. Margeret who prefers to be called ‘Meg’ is the Chief Executive Officer and Registered Manager of the company which she started on the 1st of August 2011.
Meg prides herself in impacting her vast knowledge in healthcare into mentoring and encouraging her team to develop their professional Practice through acquiring further/higher education in health and reflective practice. She prides in her ability to bring out the best from almost every staff member that work directly or indirectly with her.
Alongside her Nursing Qualification, Meg has a Bachelor of science with honours in Palliative Care and a Master of Science in Advanced Practice which she acquired from the University of Bedfordshire.
She also has numerous professional qualifications with the English National Board for Nursing; one of which is the ‘Mentoring and Support for Professional Practice. This has been a useful tool with which she has supported and provided mentoring and preceptorship to her team of healthcare professionals within the company. Meg is also a Nurse Independent and supplementary prescriber.
It is also important to mention that Meg was the proud recipient of the NHS Northamptonshire Nursing / Allied Healthcare Professional ‘Innovative Practice Award’ 2013.
King was brought into the company to assist not only with the day to day running of the Bedford branch of Mega Resources Nursing and Care but for his experience and knowledge in the finance sector. King Lawal is a member of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management accountants) This was obtained at the London School of Business and Finance. Previous to this he was awarded with a BSc honours in Accounting and Finance at the University of Salford (Awarded) Business School. He has previous experience working as an Assistant Management Accountant and Technician, Financial Analyst and a Senior Financial Analyst, for which he was responsible for a team of analysts and graduate finance technicians. It is with this skill set that King has been able to create an accounts department, which handles all costing, Invoicing and Payroll as well as all financial reporting. However, with this team being established, King can endeavour to spend the majority of his resources on the running of our Bedford Branch.
Since his arrival at the company King, has installed a loyal, dedicated and knowledgeable team which has enhanced the reputation of the company and seen an increase of circa 200% in hours and whilst doing so, has created a team that has substantially increased the efficiency of our service and the satisfaction of the clients, one case in which this is evident would be our client satisfaction surveys on www.homecare.co.uk.
Winner Lawal; who has been with the company as an advisor since the first day of opening and has served as Managing Director and Northamptonshire Branch Manager since June 2014. Winner came to the company with a background in care and has achieved BSc (Honours) in Biomedical Science.
It is with both his medical and business knowledge that Mega Resources Nursing and Care has been able to expand, improve and deliver a high standard of care to all of our clients.
Under the guidance of the managing Directors Mega Resources Nursing and Care has developed and established an esteemed reputation passing all CQC, CHC and local authority inspections with extremely good feedback.
Alison Harrald works at our Kettering branch as Field Manager for Northamptonshire, she has been with the company for almost 5 years and is responsible for client packages, liaising with CHC, CQC and care management. Outside the office her hobbies include horse riding eating out, her grandchildren and her dog, she enjoys cooking for family and friends. .
Chris Dodds has been with the company since October 2014 and serves as the unit manager for the Northamptonshire branch. Chris comes from an accounting background through which he has attained both 2 & 3 qualifications in AAT. Chris is currently working towards his AAT Level 4. Chris is also working towards his Level 3 in Business Management. He is a keen football player who also enjoys playing guitar and writing.
Urszula Mejsak works at our Bedford Branch as our CFO Personal Assistant. Currently studying Part Time at Bedford College, she is working towards her AAT Accountancy Level 2, which will accompany her first-class degree in Mathematics. Whilst studying her degree, Urszula was a member of the student council. During this time, she scheduled exams and was the main body of contact between students and teachers. Thus, Urszula has become an intellectual and responsible individual. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and participating in sport
Ian Kibukamusoke was Previously working for a $23.55 billion revenue fabless Semi-Conductor company. Ian has 3 years 3 months’ experience with leading projects in the Research and Development sector for Semiconductor industry after attaining BEng Electronics degree. Ian’s role within Mega Resources is to bring ideas and alternative routes to revenue. He is also manager for our branch in London borough of Barnet. Ian’s hobbies are basketball, athletics, travel, and electronics.
