Working in Care has changed my life! Such a motivating Career choice with job satisfaction every day. This has enabled me to develop as an individual, work as part of a team, build relationships, form friendships and further my education. I have a true passion for the Care Industry. Everyday is a positive challenge, no day is the same and gives me a fulfilling life/work balance.

Nikola, Care Co-ordinator

I like working in care because I like helping people. It is a perfect job for everyone who wants to make a difference.
While working in Mega Care I met many fantastic service users and visited many interesting places when I was assisting our service users to access the community.

Igor, Key Colleague

I enjoy working in care because I can make a difference to somebody’s day, whether that’s putting a smile on their face or helping them with a household job. I love having chats with clients, building work relationship bonds, engaging their trust. I enjoy getting to know each client, not just their needs.

Sarah, Senior Care Assistant

Going through caring for my own dad, this was something I had to give back to all the lovely people out there that don’t have family nearby and to give them the support, care and guidance they deserve. Going through clients’ doors and making them comfortable and secure can make their day. If their day is bright and happy – it makes my day as well.
This could be your loved one at any point. We care as a company and individuals, we give the best care possible. Come aboard and see what we can do for your loved one.

Nicola, Key Colleague

Being able to help others has always been a passion.
For some of our clients we’re the first people they see in the morning and it’s essential that we give them a positive start everyday. It is rewarding to know that you can make a positive change in people’s lives.

Sabine, Care Assistant

I have worked for Megacare for 2 1/2 years now as a “live-in” Carer. I have been lucky enough to become the primary caregiver in my position and, as such, have maintained a work schedule and work environment that I have both enjoyed and been extremely happy in. My job placement has been rewarding and there is a real feeling of working as part of a “team”. Management Staff are extremely supportive, and issues are dealt with promptly and professionally. I have been in the Healthcare Industry for over 30 years and would definitely recommend Megacare

Julie, live-in care assistant

I will forever be grateful for the flexibility Mega Care has given me over the years as they have been very accommodating during my studies and any personal issues I have faced. I would encourage anyone wishing to work in a domiciliary care setting to apply for a job with Mega Care.

The right level of training support

Your initial training is carried out at one of our regional offices. The induction process is a series of face to face sessions where you learn all about Mega Resources and how we deliver our care packages. It’s vital at this stage that you understand your role as a caregiver, the responsibilities this includes and the duties you will be undertaking.

There are mandatory training sessions that you need to complete. These cover a range of essential skills and knowledge which you will need in order to meet the needs of our clients. They include health and safety, first aid, administering medication and personal care.

You will also learn about different conditions and how they affect our clients. These can change over time which is why we provide a wide spectrum of training so you are prepared.

Mobility can be a challenge and support will often be needed to help with maintaining a client’s independence. This can change over time and it’s important to recognise these stages.

Clients with dementia are dealing with memory loss and are probably struggling to cope with everyday tasks. Understanding how they are feeling on the day and adjusting your care accordingly is vital to ensure they remain calm.

Elderly care is all about providing that extra help in their home so they can keep on top of daily activities.

For your first week, you’ll shadow another caregiver to ensure there is continuity and to provide an introduction for you and the client. It’s important to have a familiar face.

As part of our continual assessment programme, we carry out a series of audits every month and undertake spot checks. This is for your own safety and to ensure our clients receive the right level of support. It’s also an opportunity to discuss any changes to the Care Plan that might be needed.
